The Emmy nominations are in, and it’s clear that Widow’s Bay had a great inaugural swim.
On Wednesday, the Television Academy revealed the nominations for the 78th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, which airs on NBC and Peacock on Sept. 14. Among the highlights, drama series The Pitt led all nominees with 25 nods; meanwhile, comedy series Hacks scored 24 noms, setting the record for comedies.
The streamers once again dominated overall, with new shows such as Widow’s Bay surprising the industry. And it seems there could be some … ahem … heated rivalries brewing, even though Heated Rivalry wasn’t eligible for accolades.
