As agencies ramp up acquisitions for retail and marketplace expertise, independent agency Chief Media is doubling down with two of its own.
The performance agency has acquired AMZ Advisers, an Amazon-focused consultancy, as well as social media agency Reach Social. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Twenty-five-year-old Chief Media got its start as a direct response agency helping clients do sales-oriented campaigns for TV and radio. More recently, it has pushed into programmatic and data offerings, working with clients like supplement brand Force Factor, Albanese, and AS Beauty.
The acquisitions give Chief Media a bigger foothold in e-commerce as well as the ability to cross-sell clients on different services, said CEO Scott Paternoster.
