Dunkin’ finally answers the question of who the sixth member of the Spice Girls was, and the answer is surprising.

The brand’s fall ad reunites two members of the powerhouse girl group: Baby Spice (Emma Bunton) and Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell-Horner). The pair reveal that they once had a sixth bandmate known as Pumpkin Spice, played by comedian and actress Rachel Dratch.

In the spot, Baby Spice and Ginger Spice reminisce about the long-lost band member, who appears alongside them dressed in an orange, pumpkin-themed outfit. They reminisce about Pumpkin Spice’s songs, like “Don’t Squash My Love” and “Walk Through My Pumpkin Patch.”

While Pumpkin Spice’s choreography was “ahead of its time,” according to Baby Spice, she ultimately left the group to pursue a solo career in lattes.

The ad ends with Pumpkin Spice pitching a comeback tour, but the other members aren’t convinced.

Part of Spice Girls lore is that the group once had a sixth member, Michelle Stephenson, who was briefly part of the original lineup before the group’s 1996 debut.

Dunkin’s campaign launches Sept. 8. The brand is offering a free medium pumpkin spice latte with a qualifying purchase in stores. More social content will roll out across Dunkin’s channels throughout the fall, which kicked off Aug. 19 with a line of pumpkin-flavored products.

Dunkin’ is known for its buzzy, celebrity-driven campaigns, most recently launching its fall menu with influencer Alix Earle. For this year’s Super Bowl, Dunkin’s ad threw it back to the 1990s with a nostalgic cast including longtime collaborator Ben Affleck, Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and Matt LeBlanc, and Seinfeld star Jason Alexander.
