As global CEO of M+C Saatchi Consulting, Rhonda Hiatt has seen her restaurant clients through the highs and lows of the hospitality business. So when the opportunity came to open her own concept, it was more than just knowing how they run or wanting to contribute something to her community that convinced her to take the leap.
“There was a little bit of overly optimistic, idealistic naïveté, if I’m honest,” said Hiatt, who opened restaurant and wine bar Meridien Uptown in 2023. “It’s definitely stretched my capacity and my skills, and formed some new muscles.”
It also helped that she and her business partner in the venture have a successful track record.
