A subtle nod to Rob Reiner
In ending the show, Glaser gave a subtle nod to Rob Reiner. The legendary director, who was behind films such as This is Spinal Tap (1984), was killed last month, along with his wife, Michele Singer Reiner.
During the final moments of the ceremony, Glaser wore a “This Is Spinal Tap” hat and said, “This one went to 11.” It was a reference to the time, but also a line from the movie.
