Independent creative agency Alto is expanding to Europe with a new office in Amsterdam, as it aims to deepen relationships with global clients while tapping into senior creative talent across the continent.
The European headquarters is open for business and supporting work for clients including Diageo and Meta Ray-Ban. It will be led by longtime collaborators Kirk Johnsen, who joins as partner and managing director, and Pierre Janneau-Houllier, Alto’s executive creative director and partner.
The expansion reflects how the New York–based agency’s client roster has grown increasingly global. “Big companies don’t need big agencies; they just need smart ones with big creative ideas,” said Alto chief creative officer Hannes Ciatti.
