Minneapolis’ agency community is no stranger to crisis.

The Twin Cities have been repeatedly thrust into the national spotlight in the last few years, from the 2020 murder of George Floyd and ensuing protests, to ongoing debates over policing and racial justice.

But the past several weeks have felt uniquely destabilizing for local agencies.

Since late 2025, thousands of federal immigration agents have been deployed to Minneapolis as part of the largest enforcement operation in U.S. history.
