Super Bowl commercials are supposed to be chaotic, fun, and a little bit nostalgic. And Super Bowl 2026 certainly had those moments.
But according to social media, that’s not what people will remember about this year’s Big Game.
Overall negative sentiment about the ads was partly due to bad timing, given what’s been making headlines. There was the typically divisive fare that’s become a hallmark of the Trump administration. And some people responded less to the ads themselves than voicing the widespread fears Americans hold about nascent technologies.
Here’s what people were talking about during Super Bowl 60. Advertisers, brace yourselves.
Whether it was commercials made with AI or companies advertising AI services, social media users made their feelings about the trend clear.

Given that sentiment, you can probably guess the reception for Svedka vodka’s all-AI ad bringing back its fembot mascot.
possibly the worst Super Bowl ad of all time, I mean this in the nicest way but fire that marketing team pic.twitter.com/l2Lmcs0NSA

Dunkin’ found the limit to our love of nostalgia, and it’s somewhere in the uncanny valley.
The AI on that Dunkin commercial was … disturbing? lol was that on purpose?

There’s a way to talk about the obesity crisis, unhealthy food, and the benefits of weight loss. The Make America Healthy Again ad was not it for viewers.
surely we can make an ad about needing better food quality in america without mike tyson saying he wanted to kill himself bc he was fat for a little bit lmao
