Top of the Ticker: Rashida Jones, the former head of MSNBC, has been named the CEO of Piers Morgan’s digital-first venture, Uncensored. As the outlet expands, it has also received fresh funding from Raine Ventures, Antenna Group, and Reuben Brothers. In bringing in Jones, Morgan said, “Rashida Jones is one of the sharpest minds in media, and her track record of building and transforming businesses speaks for itself.”
Jones, who left the Versant news outlet in January 2025, said of her new appointment, “Piers developed an incredible platform with Uncensored that’s already going head-to-head with legacy media.”
She added, “I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves with Piers and the team to build on the strong foundation they created and scale it into a diverse and profitable network that champions talent and dominates the biggest categories.”
Exit left: Add Seth MacFarlane to the list of on and off-air talent leaving CBS News since it fell under the purview of Paramount Skydance. In a LinkedIn post, MacFarlane said the decision to leave the news outlet was his, adding, “I will always value the opportunity I had to work alongside the talented and committed professionals here. I’m proud to have had the words ‘CBS correspondent’ next to my name – always will be.”
MacFarlane also shared that his last CBS News report will air this coming Saturday.
My final report for CBS airs Saturday.
A feature on the 88-year-old radio pioneer who has changed lives — and become the voice of something much more important – off-the-air.

Inaccurate framing: CNN had to delete a social media post on Tuesday after receiving backlash about how the post was framed. The post referenced the actions of two teenagers arrested in New York City over the weekend after throwing homemade bombs at Gracie Mansion, the home of Mayor Zohran Mamdani. The network explained its decision to delete the post, saying it “failed to reflect the gravity of the incident, thereby breaching the editorial standards we require for all our reporting.”
