Dow Jones has appointed Andrew Essex as its brand director in residence and Delwyn Gray as head of events, according to an internal memo obtained by ADWEEK.
A spokesperson for the company confirmed the appointments.
Essex will step into a newly-created role focused on brand strategy across Dow Jones and Wall Street Journal properties.
He will lead initiatives spanning consumer campaigns and B2B brand marketing on a project-by-project basis, reporting directly to chief executive Almar Latour.
His appointment comes as more premium publishers launch or increase their brand marketing efforts, a reaction to how artificial intelligence has disrupted the markets for media and information.
