Demand-side platform The Trade Desk is trimming its global headcount by 15%, CEO Jeff Green told staffers Thursday.
He positioned the decision as a means for the adtech company to “move with greater agility, focus, ownership, and speed,” in an email to staff, which was reshared to The Trade Desk’s news site The Current. “Together,” he wrote, “this effort will provide us the opportunity to reinvest in delivering even better outcomes for our clients and will usher in our next phase of growth.”
The company previously employed around 3,900 staffers; the 15% reduction in force equates to roughly 585 jobs.
