Franchise expansion: NBC News is borrowing an idea already embraced by many of its peers by hosting a live event for its Sunday public affairs program, Meet the Press, in New York City on Monday, June 29. This first-of-its-kind event will see the show’s moderator, Kristen Welker, carry on a conversation with actress Taraji P. Henson.
Local Airing: NBC News announced that one of its streaming shows on NBC News Now is now available to local viewers in the San Francisco Bay Area Market. Hallie Jackson Now will air on KNTV every weekday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. PT. The launch comes as Californians head to the polls on Tuesday, June 2, for the state’s primary election.
