Despite it being the largest maker of chocolate snacks in America, Hershey—whose brands include Kit Kat, Mounds, Skor, and Reese’s—has been only an occasional advertiser in the Super Bowl.
The $37 billion confectionary brand made its Super Bowl debut in 2008, with an for Ice Breakers gum, starring Carmen Electra. Hershey didn’t use the game to advertise any brands in its chocolate portfolio until 2020, when it used a 30-second spot to spur interest in its Take5 candy bar, which had been recently rebranded as Reese’s Take5.
