A company spokesperson declined to say who would direct the marketing initiatives for Kellanova’s brands following Hughes’ departure.
Hughes’ stint at Kellanova began as CMO in 2020, when the company was called Kellogg’s. She became chief brand and advanced analytics officer in 2022, and finally chief growth officer in 2023.
Emerging from the pandemic, Kellogg’s/Kellanova saw its margins plunge and relied on price hikes to keep up with inflation and maintain sales. Hughes was one of the execs who helped see Kellanova through that period.
