The collaboration is part of a broader pilot to build a two-sided content marketplace, one explicitly designed to compensate publishers when their journalism is used in AI products. For Condé Nast, the agreement ensures its brands are accurately represented across AI interfaces while reinforcing its commitment to trusted, premium reporting in new digital contexts.

By participating early, the publisher is signaling both a willingness to experiment with AI and a belief that structured compensation models will be essential to sustaining high-quality journalism as AI platforms scale.

The media company also has content licensing agreements in place with OpenAI, Perplexity, and Amazon.

“I’m excited to be joining Condé Nast at a time of transformative change across our industry,” Williams said in a statement. “With its unparalleled portfolio of iconic, premium brands, the company is positioned to lead through industry shifts, especially in the age of AI, while upholding the exceptional journalism and storytelling its audiences rely on.”
