The study also found emotional benefits to formal training. Marketers with formal training have more confidence, motivation, and happiness in the workplace: 70% expected to still be working in marketing in 10 years compared to 41% of marketers without formal training. Over three quarters (77%) report a steady career progression, compared to 54% of those without formal training.
“The data clearly shows that training and continual exposure to diverse perspectives helps marketers sharpen their saws and improve influence and job satisfaction, and that’s an actionable, optimistic message,” Brophy stated.
