After nearly 20 years leading top brands and agencies, childhood friends Musa Tariq and Tim Jones are betting they can solve one of the industry’s key problems: the disconnect between brand and business.
Tariq, who previously led marketing for Airbnb, Ford, and GoFundMe, and Jones, formerly at 72andSunny, are coming out of stealth to launch consultancy Science x Story.
Its ambition is to realign how companies can grow in an AI future.
After two decades brand-side, Tariq said he has repeatedly encountered agencies that have “struggled with the business acumen,” while consultants that are great at business strategy “never understood the creative.”
