The work will roll out globally across social, digital, and connected TV.
Along with the campaign, Merrell is launching Merrell Outside: Futures Project to expand access and opportunities for future designers. The brand developed the program with the late Virgil Abloh’s “Post-Modern” scholarship fund, administered by the Fashion Scholarship Fund and Pensole Lewis College of Business and Design. Merrell will select more than 30 students to participate in a creative curriculum and apprenticeships within its design studio.
“[The Futures Project] provides an opportunity for us to invest in the next generation of creative talent,” McLeod said. “It helps us expand who gets to shape what the outside looks like in the future, and share the power of the outside with everyone.”
