- MSNBC was up +54% in total viewers and +50% in the demo. During total day, the network was up +34% in total viewers and +43% in the demo.
- In primetime, CNN grew by +37% in total viewers and +30% in the demo. During total day, it saw gains of +34% in total viewers and +38% in the demo.
PROGRAMMING:
Fox News had 12 out of the 15 spots of the most-watched cable news shows of the week, with The Five on top with 3.721 million total viewers at 5 p.m. ET. MSNBC was represented in the chart by three shows, led by The Rachel Maddow Show, which aired at 9 p.m. ET on Mondays and ranked No. 9 with 1.826 million total viewers.
The Five landed in the top spot in the Adults 25-54 demo, averaging 298,000 viewers at 5 p.m. ET. Fox News held 13 out of the 15 top spots in the demo, with MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show, airing at 9 p.m. ET on Mondays, taking eighth place with 176,000 demo viewers. CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 at 8 p.m. ET was the other non-Fox News show in the chart with 136,000 demo viewers in fourteenth place.
