Betts, a WNBA rookie for the Washington Mystics and national champion while at UCLA, is also part of Team RBK.B. Osifeso called Betts a “prime example” of how female athletes impact culture.

“She’s so multifaceted and interesting on the court but equally beyond basketball,” Osifeso said. “She really exemplifies the most interesting form of the modern athlete.”

In March, Betts drew praise for an essay about her personal mental health struggles that was published in The Players’ Tribune.

Supporting the next generation of female players is a “major tentpole” in Reebok’s strategy, Osifeso said. This coincides with the WNBA setting viewership records during its 2025 season.

“We started in the women’s game and will continue to invest in and platform female players,” Osifeso said, referring to signing WNBA players Angel Reese and Lexie Brown for the Engine A shoe launch.
