Sabrina Carpenter is teaming up with Pringles to star in her first-ever Super Bowl ad.
Today (Jan. 14), the snack brand released a teaser for its campaign, in which Carpenter sits on a kitchen floor holding a flower made of Pringles.
As she plucks the chip petals from her salty bouquet, she repeats the familiar rhyme: “He loves me, he loves me not.” She lands on, “He loves me,” before enjoying a crunchy bite.
Pringles’ ad, created by agency BBDO New York, will continue its “Once You Pop, the Pop Don’t Stop” creative direction, “bringing playful, unhinged humor to the Big Game,” according to a company statement.
The brand brought back its 1990s-famous “Once You Pop” tagline in October with an absurd spot in which a young man uses Pringles to create a pair of duck lips, only to be anointed the leader of a real flock of ducks.
Pringles hasn’t yet shared how Carpenter’s Super Bowl narrative will develop, but said it will reveal more sneak peeks on social media ahead of the game on Feb. 8.
This will mark Pringles’ ninth consecutive appearance in the Super Bowl.
Last year’s commercial featured flying mustaches and celebrities with and without facial hair, including Nick Offerman and Adam Brody.
In 2024, Pringles played on the idea that actor Chris Pratt looked like the brand’s mascot, Mr. P, while its 2023 ad starred Meghan Trainor.
