Stranger Things and Landman Still Lead

The first week of the year began with the status quo, as Stranger Things and Landman remained at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on Nielsen’s Top 10 Overall Streaming chart.

Netflix’s Stranger Things continues to be the chart leader for the ninth consecutive week, finishing the week of January 5 with 3.201 billion viewing minutes. Meanwhile, Paramount+’s Landman, which had 1.425 billion minutes viewed, has remained in second place for four consecutive weeks. 

According to Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings, four titles, three from Netflix and one from Paramount+, crossed the billion-viewing-minutes mark. Netflix had the most titles on the chart, with six, two of which were shared titles with other streaming services. 

Coming in at No. 3 was the Netflix series His & Hers, which finished with 1.387 billion viewing minutes. It was a favorite among the Adults 35-64 demo, who accounted for 61% of the series’ total viewership. 

The Netflix miniseries Run Away was the final show to surpass a billion viewing minutes, with 1.017 billion minutes viewed to land in fourth place. Rounding out the top five was Disney+’s animated series Bluey, which started the year with 941 million viewing minutes. 

The Closer, available on Netflix, Peacock, and Pluto TV, ranked No. 6 with 940 million minutes viewed during the week of January 5. In seventh place was HBO Max’s The Pitt with 939 million viewing minutes.

Prime Video’s Fallout took the No.8 spot, with the series having 855 million minutes viewed. The sci-fi thriller 11.22.63 from Netflix entered the chart at ninth place with 848 million viewing minutes.

Closing out the chart was the shared title Found, which also had 848 million minutes viewed across Netflix and Peacock.
