After ceding the top spot for one week, Netflix’s Stranger Things recaptured the streaming crown in Nielsen’s Top 10 Overall Streaming chart for the week of January 19.

Stranger Things bounced back with 1.66 billion viewing minutes for the recorded week, edging out Paramount+’s Landman, which also reclaimed its No. 2 position with 1.615 billion minutes viewed.

Once again, the chart featured five titles that crossed the billion viewing minutes mark, according to Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings. Just like the previous week, three of those titles were from Netflix, and one apiece from Paramount+ and HBO Max. Netflix remained the streamer with the most titles on the chart with six, two of which were shared with other streaming services.

In third place was the Netflix movie The Rip, moving up one spot with 1.378 billion viewing minutes. The Matt Damon and Ben Affleck crime thriller remained a favorite among the Adults 35-64 demo, accounting for 57% of the movie’s total audience.

Nipping at The Rip’s heels was last week’s leader, Netflix’s His & Hers, which dropped to fourth place with 1.371 billion minutes viewed. Similar to The Rip, the Tessa Thompson-led miniseries was also a favorite among the Adults 35-64 demo, accounting for 56% of the series’ total audience.

The last title to reach over a billion viewing minutes was HBO Max’s The Pitt, which has remained in its current position with 1.191 billion viewing minutes. The three available episodes of Season 2 made up 49% of the program’s viewership, with the remaining 51% dedicated to Season 1.

The lower half of the chart was led by the Netflix-acquired series Southland, which entered the chart with 930 million minutes viewed, for the week of January 19. It was followed by the Netflix, Peacock, and Pluto TV shared title The Closer, which remained in seventh place with 911 million viewing minutes.

Disney+’s animated series Bluey moved up two spots with 887 million minutes viewed, and behind it in ninth place was The Traitors on Peacock, which slid one spot with 865 million viewing minutes.

The final position was held by the Netflix and Hulu shared title, Grey’s Anatomy, with 844 million minutes viewed.
