The Trade Desk Cuts Dozens of Roles, Impacting Sales and Client Services Teams

Adtech giant The Trade Desk cut dozens of employees on Tuesday, ADWEEK has learned. The staff cuts spanned multiple teams including sales and client services, according to two sources with direct knowledge, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The Trade Desk confirmed the staff cuts in an email with ADWEEK.

The company, which operates one of the most popular demand-side platforms on the market, confirmed the layoffs in an email and said less than 1% of its total staff had been impacted. That figure translates to about 35 or fewer people, as a 2025 fact sheet published by the company earlier this year indicates that it employs 3,500 staff worldwide.
