NBC News’ Today has been America’s No. 1 morning show for four straight weeks now in both total viewers and the Adults 25-54 demo.

NBC’s first week of coverage of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics certainly helped Today retain its title in both measured categories for the week of February 9. In addition, it was the only morning show with week-to-week gains across the board. Understandably, this is happening while viewer interest remains high in the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, in Arizona, as they catch up on the latest developments.

According to Nielsen’s national live+same-day big data plus program ratings, GMA averaged 2.906 million total viewers and 475,000 viewers in the A25-54 demo for the week of February 9. Compared to the previous week, ABC News’ morning show was flat in total viewers and down -4% in the demo. Looking at its performance to the same week in 2025 (Feb. 10), GMA was up by +6% in total viewers but slid by -2% in the demo.

Today continued to be the No. 1 overall morning broadcast, finishing with 3.481 million total viewers and 697,000 demo viewers for the just-concluded week. The broadcast was up +5% in total viewers and +8% in the demo compared to the previous week. Looking at how it performed during the same week in 2025, Today grew by +30% in total viewers and +8% in the demo.

CBS Mornings had 1.694 million total viewers and 238,000 viewers in the A25-54 demo. Compared to the previous week, CBS News’ morning show recorded declines of -8% in total viewers and -6% in the A25-54 demo. During the same period in 2024, CBS Mornings declined by -18% in total viewers and -33% in the demo—the only morning show with double-digit viewership declines in this comparison.
