Costco Adds Adtech Firm Moloco to Scale Retail Media Network

Costco is working with retail adtech firm Moloco Commerce Media to improve the relevancy of ads on its ecommerce website.

The addition of Moloco comes shortly after Costco unveiled Costco Velocity, the retailer’s revamped retail media network. Mark Williamson, avp of retail media at Costco, announced on LinkedIn that the partnership with Moloco will begin with a beta program during the second quarter.

In February, Williamson announced the new name of Costco’s ad business, arguing that its philosophy differentiates the retailer from the more than 200 retail media networks that have cropped up over the last few years.

Costco is signing deals with adtech firms to power Costco Velocity’s infrastructure.
