CBS News was the recipient of good news, with CBS Mornings becoming the only morning show to finish with viewership growth in total viewers and the Adults 25-54 demo for the week of April 13.
Today remained the most-watched morning show in both measured categories. This was the week that saw the Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie duo reunite, as Kotb filled in for Craig Melvin for the entire week. The reunion was enough to keep Today above the 3 million total viewers mark.
According to Nielsen’s national live+same-day big data plus program ratings, GMA averaged 2.885 million total viewers and 483,000 viewers in the A25-54 demo for the week of April 13. Compared to the previous week, ABC News’ morning show was flat in total viewers and down -2% in the demo. When looking at how it performed in the same week in 2025, GMA was up by +9% in total viewers and +7% in the demo.
Today remained at No. 1 in total viewers and the demo with 3.002 million and 629,000 viewers, respectively, for the just-concluded week. The broadcast fell by -4% in total viewers and was flat in the A25-54 demo compared to the previous week. When put up against the same week in 2025, Today was up +21% in total viewers and +9% in the demo.
CBS Mornings had 1.797 million total viewers and 299,000 viewers in the A25-54 demo for the week of April 13. Compared to the previous week, CBS News’ morning show was up +3% in total viewers and +19% in the demo—the only morning show with a week-to-week gain in either of the measured categories. However, versus the same week in 2025, CBS Mornings was down -27% in total viewers and -26% in the demo—the only morning show with declines within this year-to-year comparison.
