The carriage dispute between Disney and YouTubeTV came to a merciful end last Friday, during the week of November 10. Unfortunately, the timing still meant ABC’s national availability was limited, as 10 million pay-TV homes were excluded from YouTube TV for the second straight week.
Fortunately for ABC News, this unavailability didn’t do as much harm as the previous week, as World News Tonight won the week in total viewers and the Adults 25-54 demo.
For the week of November 10, WNT was the only evening broadcast to experience week-to-week growth in both measured categories, while CBS Evening News was the only newscast to fall in both measurements.
Note: The weekly average of ABC World News Tonight is based on the retitled broadcasts that aired from Tuesday (11/11/2025) through Friday (11/14/25). Monday’s (11/10/2025) broadcast was not included due to the NFL.
According to national live+same-day big data plus program ratings from Nielsen, ABC World News Tonight with David Muir averaged 7.572 million total viewers and 960,000 Adults 25-54 demo viewers for the week of November 10. The evening newscast was up by +5% in total viewers and +9% in the A25-54 demo compared to the previous week. Looking at its performance for the same week in 2024 (the week beginning November 11), WNT was up by +4% in total viewers and flat in the demo.
After landing in first place in the demo the prior week, NBC Nightly News dropped to second place in the demo and was No. 2 in total viewers, averaging 896,000 and 6.676 million viewers, respectively. The broadcast was flat in total viewers, but saw a -4% decline in the A25-54 demo. When comparing its performance to the same week a year ago, Nightly News was up +10% in total viewers and +5% in the demo—it was the only newscast to record positive momentum in both measured categories in this yearly comparison.
CBS Evening News had 4.170 million total viewers and 896,000 viewers in the demo for the week of November 10. The broadcast was down by -2% in total viewers and -7% in the demo compared to the previous week. Its year-ago week numbers showed the newscast declining by -9% in total viewers and -21% in the demo—the only broadcast to fall within this yearly comparison.
