Streaming Ratings, Week of November 17: Viewers Get Stranger

With fans rewatching past episodes of Stranger Things, momentum continues to build for the Netflix series, which remained No. 1 on Nielsen’s Top 10 Overall Streaming chart for the week of November 17.

Stranger Things led the way with 1.683 billion viewing minutes, improving on its previous week’s showing by +25% as audiences geared up for the fifth and final season, premiering on Nov 26.

According to Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings, four titles, three from Netflix and one from Paramount+, crossed the billion-viewing-minutes mark. Netflix had the most titles on the chart, earning five total.

The Netflix mini series The Beast in Me rose from No. 3 to No. 2, with 1.661 billion minutes viewed in its second week on the chart. It was followed by the Paramount+ series Landman, which returned for its second season and kicked off with strong numbers, finishing with 1.194 billion viewing minutes. 

Absentia took fourth place as the Netflix-acquired series entered the chart with 1.056 billion minutes viewed. The Netflix and Hulu shared title Grey’s Anatomy closed out the top five with 805 million viewing minutes for the week of November 17.

NCIS remained in sixth place, shared among Hulu, Netflix, Pluto, and Paramount+, with 755 million viewing minutes. It was followed by Law & Order, which re-entered the chart with 710 million minutes viewed shared between Hulu and Peacock.

Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon climbed up two spots to take No. 8 with 703 million viewing minutes. However, Disney+’s Bluey dropped two spots to ninth place with 674 million minutes. 

Finally, Gunsmoke takes the final spot in the chart, falling from No. 8 with 669 million viewing minutes across Paramount+, Peacock, and Pluto.
