The Black media collective BOMESI, which supports more than 400 Black-owned companies and a further 2,500 diverse-owned media companies, opened applications last week for the fifth cohort of its flagship Accelerator program, according to cofounder Rhonesha Byng.
Applications, which can be found here, officially began Sept. 15 and run until Oct. 1.
The fifth cohort will welcome 11 companies in total, although its composition will be different from years past, part of an effort to better reflect the changing nature of the media landscape.
The first three cohorts included seven companies, all publishers. In the fourth cohort, the Accelerator expanded to ten publishers and one creator-in-residence.
