Top of the Ticker: “Unscripted, unhurried, and utterly himself.” That’s how Netflix describes Brian Williams ahead of his new podcast series, We’re Back! With Brian Williams.

The new Netflix podcast, which debuts later this year, is billed as Williams having conversations with interesting figures shaping popular culture, including actors, writers, musicians, athletes, journalists, and unexpected newsmakers.

In a relaxed format, the former NBC News and MS NOW (MSNBC) anchor will have wide-ranging exchanges with these various personalities about their work, their lives, and the current times we are in.

We’re Back with Brian Williams is produced by veteran producer Jonathan Wald, who has worked with Williams on other projects on broadcast, cable, and now streaming, including his 2024 work with Prime Video, anchoring their Election Night special.

Also, signing on to do a podcast on Netflix is NBC News correspondent Ellison Barber, who hosts a new weekly video podcast entitled Allegedly. Debuting April 29, the new true crime podcast produced by NBC News Studios will see Barber break down the most talked-about cases with a trusted friend with expertise in the world of crime, or a person central to the story.

New show: Streaming news network NBC News Now is expanding its daytime lineup with a new two-hour mid-morning show hosted by newly minted NBC News chief business correspondent Christine Romans. The new show, which airs at 10 a.m. ET and starts this summer, will be focused on economic news as it affects the daily news cycle and the global economy. In other NBC News Now news, the streamer announced it will be moving into Studio 3A at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the former longtime base for MSNBC.

Award-winning: CNN’s Kaitlan Collins was announced as one of the recipients of the journalism awards from the White House Correspondents’ Association. Collins is receiving the Award for Excellence in Presidential News Coverage Under Deadline Pressure for her reporting on President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy‘s first White House visit in 2025, resulting in a tense exchange. The awards will be presented at the WHCA Dinner in Washington on Saturday, April 25.

Vintage interviews: Fans of the late Larry King will be happy to know that CNN is bringing back a collection of memorable interviews from the longtime host’s 9 p.m. ET show, Larry King Live! These interviews will stream exclusively at CNN.com/Watch or on the CNN app for CNN’s streaming subscribers. New episodes will be released every Friday through June 19.
