The appointments come amid a broader leadership reshuffle under Kaminkow. Recent changes include naming Chrissie Hanson as North America media CEO and global brand president of Carat, and promoting Phil Gaughran to CEO of Dentsu Creative Americas.
The focus on reviving the business in the Americas comes after a sale of Dentsu’ international business unraveled earlier this year. Shortly after, the holdco announced a restructure that impacted more than 3,400 jobs, or 8% of its international staff.
“You can’t just have a vision without the way to execute it against it,” Kaminkow said. “How do we make sure that we have the right talent in place that is going to be able to drive the execution, so people see it as a reality, not just a promise of something to come.”
