Meanwhile, CNN en Español is launching a new weekday morning show, CNN América, beginning Monday, April 13, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET. The new show, anchored by Rebeka Kelly from Miami, will, according to the network, be a dynamic news magazine designed for a modern, highly connected Hispanic audience across the U.S and Latin America, featuring live reporting, incisive storytelling, expert analysis, and seamless digital integration.
Trophy quest: ABC News and CNN were the two news outlets to receive the most News and Documentary Emmy nominations, with 47 and 32, respectively. PBS received 25, followed by CBS News with 16, NBC News with 14, Noticias Telemundo and Al Jazeera with 11 apiece, Bloomberg with 10, Univision with 8, Scripps News with 5, MS NOW with 3, BBC with 2, and Spectrum Noticias with 1.
Winners will be announced at the 47th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards ceremony in New York City, with the news categories celebrated on Wednesday, May 27, and the documentary categories on Thursday, May 28.
Esteemed Honor: CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and Fox News Media’s CEO Suzanne Scott will be two of 14 personalities set to be inducted into the Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026. The honorees will be inducted at Broadcasting+Cable’s 34th annual gala, set for Tuesday, Sept. 29, in New York City.
