Hinge Is Selling Honesty to a Generation Losing Faith in Dating Apps

Every week, Hinge receives wedding invitations from former users who found their spouses on the dating app. Employees gather to read them, celebrating stories of people who went from swiping on the app to committed, lifelong partnerships.

The invitations “give us the inspiration for why we continue to do the work that we do,” said Tamika Young, Hinge’s chief marketing and communications officer. 

Yet even as Hinge helps create these success stories, “we know that we’re in a time where people are feeling really vulnerable and skeptical about where dating apps are taking them and what that journey looks like,” Young said.
