2017 was the year of the Oscars La La Land Best Picture fumble, Taylor Swift’s reputation Era, Fidget Spinners—and Starbucks’ viral Unicorn Frappuccino.

The fluorescent mango-flavored drink, featuring a tangy blue drizzle, whipped cream, and a sprinkling of colorful dust had a five-day run in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico nine years ago. Since then, it’s been confined to millennial and Gen Z lore.

That changed on 15 August, when Starbucks brought the drink back globally for one weekend only.

More than 2 million were sold in North America over three days, with the launch date marking Starbucks’ highest Saturday sales day ever in the U.S.
