Supergoop has hired Lauren Weinberg as chief marketing officer (CMO).
The exec, who was most recently CMO at Peloton, will join the buzzy SPF skincare brand’s executive leadership team to oversee brand, social and growth marketing, product innovation, creative, consumer insights, strategic partnerships, and communications.
Since its 2005 launch, Supergoop — which sells lotions, mists, CC creams, and other products — has scaled from a scrappy startup to a $700 million business by reframing SPF as a beauty ritual rather than a chore.
A super role
Weinberg told ADWEEK that the business has “built something rare: true category leadership with an authentic point of view.”
She said her focus over the next six months will be on deepening cultural relevance and showing up in everyday lifestyle spaces to drive growth for the company.
“The work starts with listening closely to the consumer, bringing a fresh perspective shaped by my background, and creating thoughtful, accessible ways for people to connect with Supergoop,” Weinberg added.
The exec left Peloton in August 2025 after just under 18 months at the interactive fitness business. Before that, she spent four months as Intuit CMO and six years at payment business Square, where she launched the company’s first global brand campaign.
Earlier in her career, Weinberg held senior leadership roles at Yahoo, MTV, AOL, Nielsen, and comScore.
Supergoop’s former CMO, Ashley Aron, exited in July 2025. Under her leadership, the brand launched “Feel Super,” a campaign starring actress and media personality Liza Koshy as the company’s official “chief super officer.”
The private company doesn’t disclose sales figures, but in 2022, WWD reported that it hit $250 million in sales, marking a 65% year-over-year increase.
In 2021, investment firm Blackstone acquired a majority stake in the business, with goals of expanding distribution in Europe and China. At the time, the brand was valued between $600 and $700 million.
The brand’s founder, Holly Thaggard, stepped down from her role as chairwoman in March 2025, assuming the position of strategic advisor.
