Delivery: After building out the social team on DuoLingo, Parvez moved to DoorDash and immediately built and mentored a 12-person department. They developed the delivery brand’s first-ever purely social-first campaign around the Super Bowl, which saw 9 billion earned impressions and multiple “best ad” list appearances—despite not actually having an ad.

More to come: Perhaps most notably, Parvez did all of this just five years into her advertising career. Often having to convince more senior leaders of her ideas, she shares her thinking and demystifies social strategy through keynotes and her newsletter, Make It Go Viral. And she does it all in a hijab, still a rarity in American culture let alone at the highest levels of industry.

Global Head of Product Innovation & Marketing Partnerships, Google
Originally honored: Google Brand Studio, 2021

Femininomenon: KR Liu has just a few little updates since being named to the Creative 100 in 2021. An appointment by then-President Joe Biden to an accessible infrastructure board in 2022. An ADWEEK cover in 2023. A Women We Admire Top Women Leaders honoree in 2024. Jury president for Glass: The Lion for Change in 2025.

For everyone: Liu’s push for inclusion never stops. At Google, she co-created and co-founded Android’s Expressive Captions, which aids accessibility by using AI to identify emotions, volume, and sound effects. Her current focus is raising awareness of ADHD—alongside Paris Hilton—and demonstrating how Google’s products serve the community through Inclusive By Design.
