The podcast shares its name with Togethxr’s best-selling product. The company has sold over 200,000 Everyone Watches Women’s Sports shirts, helped by a Nike partnership that took sales global, and has extended the slogan to Stanley tumblers and hats.
Still, fans are getting harder to impress.
“We’re in a current economy in sports where tickets are extremely expensive,” said Bailey Williamson, SVP of partnerships at Togethxr. Fans paying those prices want more out of the day than what happens on the court, she added.
Bakhle said the infrastructure hasn’t kept pace. Rights are split across ESPN, NBC, and others, and “even accessing the programming or finding the game on TV is still actually pretty hard,” she said. Investment also “still does tend to go into the men’s side,” even as new leagues and teams launch.
