In March, MS NOW announced sweeping changes to its programming schedule, touching all dayparts. Now, with the June launch of its new programming schedule fast approaching, the network is revealing the names for its new shows.
Debuting Monday, June 15, Stephanie Ruhle anchors a new two-hour morning show titled Money, Power, Politics with Stephanie Ruhle, airing at 9 a.m.
MS NOW describes Ruhle’s new program as an agenda setter for the network’s morning viewers as the opening bell rings. Her show’s debut coincides with the return of Morning Joe to a three-hour show starting at 6 a.m.
Also debuting on Monday, June 15, is On the Line with Alicia Menendez, airing from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. This new program will focus on the latest stories MS NOW’s audience cares about most.
Katy Tur’s midafternoon program gets a new name: The Moment with Katy Tur. Airing from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tur’s show will provide audiences with a better understanding of the headlines shaping the day.
Ruhle’s former 11 p.m. slot is being renamed The 11th Hour with Ali Velshi, and his former weekend hours are being rebranded as Connect with Jacob Soboroff.
Airing Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Soboroff’s news show will mark MS NOW’s first Los Angeles-based program and will debut on Saturday, June 13.
“These new programs build on the organization’s continued success ahead of a consequential midterm election season and consistent growth across linear, digital, social, and audio,” Greg Kordick, svp of programming, said in a memo to staffers.
In addition to the new program names, Kordick said the network will share more information on Peter Alexander’s new 11 a.m. show in the coming weeks, and that Monday, June 15, will mark the start of Luke Russert‘s tenure as the newest co-anchor of The Weeknight.
