There’s a shift afoot in the holding company hierarchy, with WPP and S4 Capital showing signs that their turnaround efforts might be taking root after years of quarterly declines. 

Despite revenue declines at the end of the second quarter, both companies saw their stock prices surge 26% following earnings calls with investors, who perceived slowing revenue declines at both companies as key signals of progress.
